Consent is secured from the event organizer, who provides consent on behalf of all participants. The organizer ensures and communicates to participants that SEQL will be onsite and taking photos during the event.
How are participants notified about SEQL's photo-taking activities?
Event organizers are responsible for notifying participants about SEQL's presence and photo-taking activities through their communication channels (e.g., event registration materials, pre-event emails, or announcements).
What if an event organizer denies SEQL's request for photo consent?
In cases where an event organizer declines SEQL's request for photo consent, we offer a digital-only experience. However, we have observed significantly better return on investment for all parties involved when our photo capture team is utilized.
Can individual participants opt out of having their photos taken or shared?
Yes, participants can opt out of photo sharing after the event. To do so, please contact our support team through the SEQL app with relevant details such as event name, team, and personal identification information. Upon receipt of this information, we will promptly remove the specified content.
How does the AI facial recognition system work?
We partner with Geo Snapshot, a third-party photo storage provider, which offers facial recognition technology for photo search. The purpose of the system is to help you find your specific photos among the thousands we capture at each event.
Who has access to the event photos?
Only verified event attendees have access to photos from their specific event.
How do you verify event attendees?
We verify attendees through our account signup process in the SEQL app. This ensures that only legitimate participants can access event photos.
